Sunland is a unique blend of the newest technology and old-fashioned work habits. Many of our employees have been here for over 20 years. We also pride ourselves in having more young college graduates that have been trained by fire industry veterans than anyone in the industry. Many of our young people occupy management positions within the organization. We deliver the highest quality craftsmanship from the smallest repair job to multi-million dollar installations.
Years in the Making
Sunland was formed in 1978 with two employees and has grown to over 150 employees. Sunland continues to expand our expertise in all aspects of fire protection. Our unbeatable customer service has earned us strong repeat business that contributes to our consistent growth and financial stability. Bob and Judy Rees promote a people first attitude. An honest, respectful approach is a priority for both customers and co-workers. All of our employees work toward project excellence and customer satisfaction.

Training
Sunland insists that our employees meet the highest standards. Managers, Project Managers, Designers, Estimators and Inspectors are trained in the NICET certification process. Our crews are certified and trained using the AFSA four-year apprenticeship program offered by the State Office of Apprenticeship Training. Our employees have certifications in OSHA 10 & 30 hour, First Aid & CPR, Fall Protection, Scaffold and Confined Space training. Our crews often attend training by vendors on materials specific to fire protection, as well as in-house training on safety policies and procedures including but not limited to accident/incident investigation and reporting, hazardous communications, tools and equipment, emergency response, personal protective equipment and much, much more. Sunland believes that training is essential in not only providing our customers with the best service, but also ensuring our men and women go home safely every day.
